On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 June at 21.00h, 17 international Adlib designers will celebrate and show their new collections on the runway, presented by a mix of top fashionistas and celebrity artists. One of the largest and best hippie markets of the island, Las Dalias, will start in June with its night markets on Monday and Tuesday, from 19.00-01.00h. These will last till September – and in August they will also be hosted on Sundays, same time. Because of the high temperatures in the summer season these night markets are a nice alternative for the Saturday, when the market is open -all year- from 10.00-20.00h. It is a lovely market with many different stalls to buy clothes, shoes, jewelry, art and much much more. Plus there are different bars, food areas, palm readers and live performances. A guaranteed amazing day or night out with great Ibiza vibes!

Ibiza OrgaNICE is the proud sponsor of Jan Kuiper, with his 87 years the oldest participant in the Alpe d’Huzes, a Dutch fundraising event in which Jan and his team "Alpe d'Ans" will cycle up to 6 times to the top of one of the main Tour de France mountains, the Alpe d'Huez, under the motto "experience" and "the power of memories". The aim of the event is to raise money for the research to cure cancer. Ibiza OrgaNICE wishes the team a lot of strength and perseverance when undertaking this unique unselfish experience.

The Medieval Festival, the annual celebration of the island's rich history, really is an event that cannot be missed. Between 11-14 May the streets of the fortified old town "Dalt Vila" are transformed into a scene from the Middle Ages. The old town dates back to 654 BC and has protected the island from many marauders over centuries. The event pays tribute to Ibiza's multi-cultural history of invaders and occupiers. Many feel that this historical mix of cultures paved the way to the international, inclusive and cosmopolitan feeling that the island has become famous for. Yet another good reason for celebration 😉

Lionel Messi buys a hotel in Ibiza! The best soccer player in the world started investing in hotels and apartments last year and has already purchased the Rostower building in Barcelona, a boutique hotel in Sitges and now he bought hotel Es Vivé, renamed MiM Ibiza Hotel Es Vivé. The hotel is located around the corner of the city beach of Figueretas, only a step away from Ibiza town.

Even before the hippies arrived in the 60's Ibiza was a popular destination with bohemian writers and painters. The island is said to have a very special energy and -whether this is true or not- attracts "the creative and spiritual". With the arrival of the free spirited hippies it attracted even more famous artists and also musicians. Mind blowing concerts were given, Pink Floyd recorded an album, Salvador Dali spent his holidays and Orson Wells recorded one of his movies on the island. This bohemian-hippie life style you can still feel everywhere. In the ‘80s however another kind of music was kicking off and even wilder parties were given. The best DJs came to perform on Ibiza and still the most famous DJs play here all summer long, each with his or her own clubnight every week. During summer Ibiza is thé clubbing capital of the world, visited by 'the rich & famous'. Paris Hilton -with her own weekly DJ performance-, Jade Jagger, Cristiano Ronaldo, Beyoncé, Ronaldo Bloom (getting into a fight with) Leonardo di Caprio, Justin Bieber are just a few names that frequently visit the island. So don’t be surprised if they walk by when you’re sipping your Gin Tonic in one of the trendy beach clubs..!
